As part of the SB-12 requirements, when going for permit on a new build, your municipality will provide you with a new form called “Energy Efficiency Design Summary” or EEDS. Depending on your project you may have a no cost or a few low-cost options open.

But If you design has:

  • Higher than 22% glazing to wall ratio
  • Better or unique systems, ground source air pump, radiant floor heating, solar hot water
  • Using Structurally Insulated Panels of Insulated Concrete Forms

You will have to jump a few hurdles to comply with SB-12
